Places to visit
The famous Wookey Hole Caves – feedback from campers is that its a great family day out. Somewhere you can spend all day the caves are just part of the attraction – lots of other child-friendly things to do. Pre-book for a 15% discount or get a 20% discount when you book your camping through our website (you will receive an email with a code).
Wells Cathedral – this stunning gothic-style cathedral was begun in 1175. There are free tours everyday except Sunday.
Opening: Everyday 7am – 7pm (6pm in winter). Admission: Free but donations are invited
Farmers Markets
Wells: Twice weekly market on Wednesday and Saturday selling local produce and goods. A Farmers’ Market is held here every Wednesday.
Glastonbury (20mins by car): Fourth Saturday of each month + Tuesday mornings between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm at Town Hall
Frome (25mins by car): First Sunday of the month. March – December 10am – 3pm, Frome town centre
